Heliobatis

A flat freshwater bottom-feeder found predominantly in marshes and swamps, where it can hide under the blanket of organic detritus collected on the floor. Some naturalists claim this particular species of wavekin can see up to a thousand summers...though, as the average life expectancy of a naturalist is but four score summers, these claims hold little weight.
